Anna Ivanovic had to stuggle for for her victory in the first round.anna who has been struggling for the last 12 months due to her lack of form,struggled again in the first match but narrowly she fetched a victory.The serbian entered last years championship as the top seed and also followed by a french open triumph.But she nearly stumbled to fetch a victory against the wolrd number 58.Ivanovic lost her first round and she was tensed up but she tried to grab the second round comfortably and the crucial break of serve in ninth game of the decider gave her the chance to serve out for the match.But czeh broke and had a match point of 6-5 but she was not able to turn it arround due to thigh injury.Ana grabed that oppurtunity and took the game away and won it.It was a narrow escape for ana.
