PCB SLAMS PACER SHOAIB AKTHAR

Pakistanis fast bowler Shoaib Akthar has been involved in a lot of controversy's ever since he started playing for the country. Recently the fast bowler has run into more trouble with the Pakistan Cricket Board has issued him a show-cause notice for violating the terms of his central contract...Board confirmed that the show-case notice was sent to the fast bowler a couple of days back charging his central contract with the Pakistan Cricket Board.Shoaib Akthar has been asked by the PCB to reply by July 31st and after that if the board is not satisfies with the reply then severe punishment will be issued against Akthar.

Shoaib Akhtar said that he will reply to the board after consulting with his Lawyer, Akthar has just played a handful of matches in the past two years due to his fitness and disciplinary problems.Shoaib who played 46 tests and 144 one dayers recently appeared on a television show said that he thought to sue the PCB for giving out the medical report which was considered to ba personal one. The Speedster was omitted from the squad after a medical panel found he was suffering from 'genital viral warts' and needed at least 12-days rest.

BOLD DECISION BY WEST INDIES CRICKET BOARD

West Indies Cricket Board has decided to stick with their Weekend side for the One day International against Bangladesh. This decision has been taken by the West Indian cricket board despite of the leading players ending their Boycott. West Indies lost the test series against Bangladesh recently due to the inexperienced players. Leading players like Gayle,Chanderpaul and Dwayne bravo have had problems with the board regarding contract and payment basis.

At this stage despite the leading players ending thier Boycott the WICB has taken this decision to carry on with their weakened side. Pakistan skipper Younis khan was able to retain his No 2 spot but by conceding 12 points with the scores of 0 and 82.

Gautam gambir's 847 points is relatively low for the No 1 spot in modern days because usually batsman score up to 900 points to retain the first place.Gautam is lucky may be because of the lack of form by the top order bataman.Gambir is the Indian batsman after Rahul Dravid to top the chart. Sachin Tendulkaris the other Indian batsman in the last 15 years who has topped the batting chart.Both the test and and ODI ranking are headed by the Indian batsman with Indian Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni leading in the ODI and Yuvraj Singh who bagged the Second Spot.

Bangladesh celebrate rare test victory

Bangladesh savored only their second victory in 60 tests on Tuesday after their team defeated West Indies in the first test in Kingstown, St Vincent. Four years and six months after their first Test win, Bangladesh bagged a historic second victory when they beat West Indies by 95 runs.They won their first test match against Zimbabwe at home.

Victory was still uncertain when Bangladesh fans went to bed as the team had only 80 overs to bowl out West Indies after setting a fourth-innings target of 277 runs on the final day.Bangladesh wrapped up a 95-run win, taking the lead in the two-test series against West Indies.

Only all-rounder Dave Bernard of West Indies team with an unbeaten 52 runs, his second half-century of the match, showed any resistance as no other batsman scored over 20 in the innings.

Man-of-the-match Tamim Iqbal's impressive knock of 128 on Sunday made the game beyond the hosts as Bangladesh claimed a first overseas Test triumph.

AKTHAR THOUGHT TO SUE PCB
