The IPL council has announced that the players auction for the grand IPL 4 cricket season will be held on January 8th and 9th of 2011.
Rajiv Shukla, the Vice President of Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) informed the reporters about the auction of players and their discussions held during the meeting.
He also informed that no discussions were held regarding Kochi team as the deadline of one month has not expired.
The new rules which states that each team can not retain more than four players which the franchise has already in the team. This rule may bring some favor the franchisees.
The tournament itself will feature eight teams, playing 60 matches, and run from April 8 to May 22.
