Chennai Super Kings, who chose to bat first were not in the momentum at the beginning. The early wicket of Mathew Hayden, who was the highest scorer in last season, took by Ishant Sharma by easy bold created some dull moments in the field for CSK fans. Royal Challengers from the very first ball, they have started to struggle for taking runs. IPL's Season 2 runners up have not showed their presence in the field very much. Ganguly keep on rotating his bowlers and bowlers too bowled very well to keep up their captain's expectation. Angelo Mathew who was the man of the match in the last match played against Deccan Chargers took two wickets and put Royals under control in scoring runs.

The Bangalore team could only set a modest target 136 before the Knight riders and it was comfortably achieved by Kolkata team in 19.2 overs without much hiccups.

Deccan Chargers won the toss and chose to field first. Though the beginning innings of the KKR was not good one after their successive wickets, the partership between Owais Shah and Angelo Matthews have created the momentum on the field. They brought the score to 161 for 20 overs.Shah (58 *: 46b, 3x4, 3x6) and Mathews (65*: 46 b, 5x4, 4x6) revived the innings with a breathtaking 130-run unbeaten stand.

Deccan Chargers though the 54 runs accounted by Gilchrist not helped their team to won the match as all other batsmen failed to perform. Ganguly's KKR won it in an easy way with the help of pace bowlers at last.

Appeal on Ravindra Jadeja's ban rejected

Ravindra Jadeja's appeal was vanished after a last minute rejection made by the league's IPL governing council. This decision was taken at the meeting held in Mumbai for discussing about the tender process for the two new franchises.

Niranjan Shah, the IPL vice chairman asked the BCCI president Shashank Manohar to remove one year ban imposed on Jadeja, he refused it without any consideration. Manohar reportedly declined the plea and Jadeja will have to sit out the current season.

The negotiation made by Jadeja outside his contract with the Rajasthan Royals made the League to impose one year ban on him. Though Jadeja in his appeal claimed that he had taken the BCCI's permission to look for other teams after the Royals gave no indication of renewing his contract which ended in December last year.
The unknown resides opposite the strict plant.
The all rounder Jadeja whose performance is good in recent days is going to miss this IPL 3rd season. Rajasthan Royals would miss key performer Ravindra Jadeja in the third edition of the Indian Premier League.

Muralitharan plans to retire from Test Cricket in 2010

The ace spinner Muralitharan have decided to retire from the Test Cricket match this year 2010 and decided to retire from other forms of International cricket after the end of Cricket World Cup scheduled on next year 2011.

The 37 year old Murali have taken a world record of 792 wickets in 132 Tests, having eigth more ticekts to reach a mark of 800 wickets in Test matches. Till date, he had a successful career of 18 years and he may withdraw from the test matches after playing against West Indies in this October.
