Cricket may be included in Olympics soon

Seeing Cricket at Olympics is not a dream but this has become reality on friday after the International Olympic Council had voted to have the ICC approved. International Cricket council have expressed their proud of recognition given by IOC. With this recognition, Cricket at Olympics is no more a dream for the cricket fans and cricket players.

The provisional status of recognition was given to Cricket as an Olympic sport in the year 2007, for a term of 2 years. They have considered as a sport but not in the Olympic Programme.

Cricket's Twenty20 format is set to feature at this year's Asian Games in Guangzhou, China, and has been in the Commonwealth Games as recently as 1998.

Besides cricket, the federations of sport climbing and power boating were also recognised.
